Dining
Breakfast is served daily from 8:00 to 9:00. The Full English/Irish breakfast includes fresh, healthy items like fried eggs. The dining area is clean, and the breakfast is well-organized. Some guests say portions run out early, like fried eggs by 8:30. Coffee is available, but no latte or espresso.
Leisure
The resort has two swimming pools: an outdoor one and a heated indoor one. There's a water park with a water slide. The indoor pool needs maintenance-guests say it has insects and debris. The outdoor pool area has slippery tiles. Bela Rest Resort also offers a hot tub, BBQ facilities, and a shared kitchen.
Location
Bela Rest Resort is 17 km from Sondela Nature Reserve and 20 km from Bothasvley Nature Reserve. Combretum Game Park is 38 km away. It's 5 minutes from the Bela-Bela town center. The resort has free parking and a backup generator for load-shedding. Guests note that the road to the resort is frustrating.
Amenities
The resort offers a 24-hour front desk, daily housekeeping, and private check-in/check-out. There's a meeting/banquet facility. The staff is friendly and helpful. Guests say the resort needs better maintenance: more chlorine in pools, uniformed staff, and updated painting. The resort has a minimarket on site.
“The warmth of the swim pool stands out, a consistently pleasant amenity noted by many. Coupled with a welcoming staff presence and good facilities overall, the experience feels thoughtfully managed. Breakfast is often highlighted as a delicious and satisfying start to the day.”
